Job was a man that was perfect and upright, feared God and eschewed evil. (Job 1:1)
Once in Satan's hand, Job's oxen, asses, and some of his servants were attacked by the Sabeans. Then, Job's sheep and more of his servants were burned by a fire of God from heaven. Then, a wind smote Job's eldest son's house, which made the house collapse and kill Job's sons and daughters. (Job 1:14-19)
After all the suffering, Job shaved his head and worshipped the Lord - never sinning. (Job 1:20-22)
Satan was amongst the sons of God that presented themselves to God. (Job 1:6)
God says there is none like Job. Satan says if God removes some of Job's blessings, that he will curse The Lord. So, God allows Satan's to have power over Job and put his hand against him. (Job 1:7-12)
These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 6:16-19
